The Other BioWare RPG Is Currently Free On Origin
Even though PC gamers have a problem with EA’s Origin because it’s simply not Steam, you can’t help but appreciate the games they give away from time to time. They’ve tended to be rather popular games that most people should have played by now, but now it looks like they’ve taken something a little less prominent out of BioWare’s catalogue.

Let’s play a quick game of guess the game. Origin’s current On The House game is something developed by BioWare. You might be quick to say it’s Mass Effect or Dragon Age but it’s a little older than that. It’s also not Knight of The Old Republic, so what could it possibly be?
Well, and you’ll be forgiven if you didn’t guess this first, it’s Jade Empire.
Originally released on the Xbox, Jade Empire is an RPG by BioWare that isn’t about Spectres or Wardens, but rather martial arts. It was later ported to PC as the Special Edition, with a couple of added features to try capture fans new and old, but the game never really caught on.
It’s a shame it didn’t, even though it was well received. Even though Jade Empire wasn’t as popular as BioWares other classics that’s no reason to overlook the title. Jade Empire managed to provide a very familiar BioWare experience in a setting that hasn’t really been done in many RPGs. If you’re a fan of BioWare, you simply can’t go wrong with Jade Empire although I do hope the game has not aged too badly.
