Some New Details On Dontnod’s Vampire Game, Vampyr
Dontnod, the people that developed Life Is Strange, have been teasing a new game since before Life Is Strange was fully completed. That game is Vampyr, a choice driven open-world RPG that takes place in 1918’s London during the peak of the Spanish Flu.
It’s certainly an unique concept and we have been sorely lacking in quality vampire games, that’s for sure.

Philippe Morea, the game’s director, gave us a slew of new information about the game on the Playstation Blog.
In summary, the game will feature a character named Jonathan Reid who is a surgeon that specialists in blood (clever) turned vampire and it’s your decisions that will help shape him. It will follow much the same trajectory as Life Is Strange with each choice carrying major consequences in the future. Since Reid is a vampire, he needs to feed, but the way in which you do it will determine the story. You’ll also use surgeon tools and improvised weapons as your primary damage dealers.
Morea also explained how they will try to be as authentic to 1918 London and will endeavor to recreate it as faithfully as possible along with the issues that the were faced during that time.
The game looks like it will be heavily choice driven and be as open as possible. If it is then this game might have some real potential. Vampyr is expected to release in 2017.
