Destiny’s Latest Hook Is Pod-Racing
Of all the things wrong with Star Wars:The Phantom Menace, pod-racing is among the more out of place ones. Maybe it was to pad the runtime or jerk off to even more CGI but the concept is good for one thing – gaming. It makes for a solid gameplay platform.
Enter Destiny’s Sparrow Racing League.

Technically it’s more like speeder racing but that just conjures up the image of explosions of the moon of Endor. Pod-racing makes more sense.
With that unnecessarily explained, here’s the lowdown.
Starting tomorrow Destiny will feature a Sparrow Racing League in which you race Sparrows except they’re not birds because that would have been far cooler. The League will run for three weeks during which players can unlike unique racing armour. Players can also purchase new emotes and earn 12 unique horns for completing races.
The armour all features racing-centric perks such as fuel-saving and even trick perks.
Up top is a video for the Sparrow Racing League while down here is a video featuring the 14 new ridiculous emotes coming to Destiny.
Credit where it’s due, at least Bungie is keeping things lively with constant content.
