PS4 Remote Play Coming To The Master Race
I currently have two devices that are capable of Remote Play namely my PS Vita and my Sony Xperia Z2. Both offer me the ability to take my device and play PS4 elsewhere on a smaller screen. Due to me being a complete loner and deciding I don’t care anymore and placing my TV directly in front of my bed, I’ve never had much use for the feature. However, some other people love the functionality where they can play their PS4 that sits in the lounge on their Vita in their bed.
It’s a feature that’s not altogether game changing, but it is pretty nice to have. Now it’s headed for PC and Mac.

This was confirmed by Shuhei Yoshida on his Twitter:
Some people asked if we plan to provide Remote Play function to PC, and yes, we are indeed working on an official application for PC/Mac. :D

Many are speculating that this is thanks to the unofficial app that was released that allowed people to stream their PS4 to their PC and this makes quite a lot of sense. Sony probably saw that this is a feature that is in demand and they are working to make it a reality.
Personally I question the usefulness of something like this. A major draw for people to play consoles is that they don’t have to sit in front of their PC desks for hours on end and would rather sit on a comfy couch in front of a big TV. Of course, you can swing it so that you can do the same for PC games, but regardless. Still, the feature will be there for anyone to use if they so wish.
