Get A Glimpse Of Battlefront’s Battle Of Jakku DLC
Star Wars Battlefront is releasing about a month before we’re going to see Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. This means that while the game will have content that ties in with the movie, we’re going to have to wait a little so that it doesn’t spoil anything.
In this vein, the Battle of Jakku — an event of some importance to the feature film — is coming to the game, free of charge to its players, a couple of weeks after the game has officially launched.

Of course, we’re getting quite close to the game’s launch, so EA have released a teaser trailer showing off a little bit of what Jakku, another desert planet similar to Tatooine, will have to offer.
At a glimpse, the map seems to be covered in debris, which will be in stark contrast to the rolling dunes of Tatooine, or the wind-swept battlefields of Hoth. It’ll likely provide a very different playing experience in the sense that there will be a lot more reflex-based conflict around tight corners made by crashed ships and destroyed vehicles.
The teaser is brief however, so it remains to be seen how this will play out. Undoubtedly it’ll be an interesting map to see in-game, and one that we’ll likely see in the movie too.
Star Wars Battlefront launches on November 17 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and the Battle of Jakku DLC will be available on December 1 to those who pre-order the game, and December 8 to everyone.
