Azure Striker Gunvolt Gets In To The Holiday Spirit With A Christmas Update
Even though Mighty No. 9 gets all the love when it comes to spiritual successors to Mega Man, let’s not forget that there are a lot more games that could fill that void. While Azure Striker Gunvolt could be seen as more of a successor to the Mega Man Zero games, it’s still worth your attention.
Azure Striker Gunvolt was originally released on the 3DS but was later ported to the PC via Steam. Now, being the holiday season and all, it looks like Inti Creates is in the giving mood, meaning Christmas is coming a little early for fans.

Inti Creates, the developers behind Azure Striker Gunvolt, have updated the Steam release of the game to include a new Christmas Mode for players to enjoy. Since Christmas has become more about gifting that anything else, you best believe Santa would start doing what he does best in this update.
In Christmas Mode presents will start falling from the sky for you to collect as you play through each level. Each present you pick up will fill a secondary meter that will rank players collection abilities on its own leaderboard.
Each level will now include snowfall ass well which means you can expect to slip and slide, causing some most unfortunate deaths.
I loved the Mega Man Zero games so naturally I’ve been very interested in this spiritual successor. While this update isn’t going to be the reason people buy this game, it’s a nice gesture from the devs and it does mean I’m a little more inclined to check it out.
Azure Striker Gunvolt is currently available on the 3DS as well as Steam.
