New Battlefront Trailer Taps Into Nostalgia
Star Wars is one of the longest standing popular sci-fi series in current circulation, having started with Episode V: A New Hope in 1977. As such, the series is one that has played an important role in many fans’ pop culture history, which has comprised of films, video games, animated series and comic books, amongst others.
EA are looking to take full advantage of this long legacy of Star Wars in their advertising for Star Wars Battlefront.

The trailer has a man sitting in an office, looking at a battered R2-D2 toy and reminiscing about times spent with a friend immersing themselves in the Star Wars universe. After that, it cuts to his friend and a live R2-D2 bringing X-Wings to his office window, before they travel to the iconic battle of Hoth, which was in the beta.
Star Wars Battlefront is releasing for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 17.
