The extension wasn’t entirely done out of the goodness of DICE’s frosty hearts though. According to Battlefront community manager Mathew Everett, who posted on the EA Star Wars forums, the beta extension will allow DICE to do some more tests on its infrastructure.
“These tests are to help us find some extreme scenarios, and that means some players may experience occasional issues such as being kicked from the game or losing connectivity,” he said.
“This is all being done in the name of shoring up our infrastructure before we launch on November 17.”
Now go get more frosty on Hoth, Star Wars suckers.
