Calling All Dota 2 Players: How Would You Like To Be Part Of A Scientific Study?

Let’s face it guys, Dota 2 is an ongoing social experiment in which we’re all the guinea pigs and Gabe Newell and his research team are consistently taking notes.
But actually, research is regularly conducted into not just gaming but the habits of gamers. This is one of those occasions. And if you’ve ever fancied being part of such a thing, and you happen to be part of a Dota 2 clan, you might just be in luck.
A researcher from the University of Cape Town (whom I follow on Twitter) is conducting research into the gameplay behaviour of clans in Dota 2, and all you need is to fill in a quick questionnaire and submit some gameplay along the course of a month in order to participate.

The introductory paragraph of the study states as follows:
You are invited to participate in a research study designed to examine the gameplay behaviour of clan members in a DotA 2 game environment. This research is being conducted by a master’s psychology student at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, as part of their master’s degree programme.
And here are the basic expectations of participants:
If you decide to participate in this study (along with your whole clan), you will be asked to:
1. Complete a questionnaire which includes questions on demographics as well as gameplay habits and history.
2. Submit a total of 3 videos of gameplay sessions of DotA 2 over a one month period (1 video per clan).
If you’d like further information then check out the Reddit page, otherwise head on over to the sign up page and get participating.
Let us know in the comments if this is something you’d be keen on being part of.
