Legend Of Grimrock 2 Is Now In Closed Beta
Almost Human have announced that their upcoming sequel to their indie darling Legend of Grimrock is in closed beta, along with releasing a new teaser trailer and giving us a look at the first game on iOS.
Legend of Grimrock is one of those games I heard great things about, bought in a Humble Bundle and then never got around to playing. This isn’t to say it’s a bad game; it’s just that my 300+ strong Steam library means there’s no way I’m ever gonna finish everything, so I just end up playing Dota 2 all the time.

Juho Salila and Petri Häkkinen, co-founders at Almost Human, posted an update on the Grimrock website announcing the move into beta. They’re saying that Legend of Grimrock 2 will be about 25% longer than the original and that all the features are in the game already. It’s just a case of polishing and improving to perfection at this point.
They also showed off a picture of the first Legend of Grimrock running on an iPad, saying:
A friend of us and a coder extraordinaire, Juha Pinola has now been working on the iOS version of Legend of Grimrock 1 for some time and the game is shaping up really well,” the developer said. “We do not know the release date just yet other than ‘when it’s done’ but we’ll let you know when we know, ok? The game isn’t just a direct port from the PC version of Legend of Grimrock. We have always felt that the game wouldn’t work on touch screens straight out of the box but needed a few custom mechanics to get the benefits of the touch interface.
