Dust: An Elysian Tail Is Coming To A PS4 Near You
If you have a PS4 near you, that is. I know I don’t.
One man indie developer Dean Dodrill announced on the Playstation.Blog yesterday that his action platformer Dust: An Elysian Tail will be releasing on the PS4 “very, very soon.”

Dust: An Elysian Tail originally released on Xbox 360 in August 2012, followed by a PC port via Steam in May 2013. Marko highly recommended it in his review of the 360 version, saying, “I really wanted to give this game perfect, but it just misses it by a fraction due to some of the platforming elements not working as they are supposed to.” You can read that review here, if you’re so inclined.
The PS4 version will be running at 1080p 60fps, which I wouldn’t normally care about but Dust has the most beautiful 2D hand-drawn art I’ve ever seen. Honestly, it’s even better than Super Giant Games’ Transistor in this department, and that’s saying something considering the calibre of their work. Watch the trailer below if you don’t believe me.
Interestingly enough, Dust: An Elysian Tale is also on sale on Steam for the weekend, where you can pick it up for a paltry $3. That’s less than a McDonald’s meal these days. And PC means 1080p 60fps anyway. Do it.
