Watch Scorpion Kill Sub-Zero In Mortal Kombat X Reveal Trailer
Today we’ve seen the announcements of Forza Horizon 2 and Homefront: The Revolution in the usual pre-E3 hype to beat all hype, but by far the best announcement for me would have to be the new Mortal Kombat game, complete with an entertaining reveal trailer that left us puzzled over whether it was gameplay or pre-rendered.
However the mystery was solved and we found out that it was conceptual footage. At least, according to an IGN editor.

Nevertheless, the reveal trailer, unveiled on Twitter by Mortal Kombat co-creator and NetherRealm creative director Ed Boon himself, shows you Scorpion killing Sub-Zero. I’m starting to wonder whether Sub-Zero is the Kenny of this franchise.
Either way, on top of the trailer announcement we also learned that the official title for the game is Mortal Kombat X, and it will be the sequel to the hit 2011 reboot.
Warner Bros also confirmed that Mortal Kombat X will be on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 and will release in 2015. The game will make its “first public appearance” at E3 next week.
Call me elitist, but I was quite hoping for a current-gen only version so the game could look close to the reveal trailer. Otherwise, that aside, I’m happy for Mortal Kombat to be in as many hands as possible, because the 2011 reboot was awesome, and I’m looking forward to what NetherRealm does next.
