Skobbejak Games Teases Vapour: Borders Of Purgatory With Gameplay Footage
Vapour: Borders of Purgatory is an upcoming South African indie game by Skobbejak Games. It’s the complete follow up to the prototype demo known simply as Vapour, which I played and wrote about back in August last year. Take note that when I say follow up I don’t mean a sequel, but rather the fully realised version of that initial prototype. My hands-on coverage of the game was promptly followed by an interview with Skobbejak Games.
Now the team has released the first gameplay footage of Vapour: Borders of Purgatory, showcasing the new direction of the title, the redone and significantly improved visuals and some extra features.

Just be wary of two things if you’re going to watch the above video. The first is that it’s NSFW, as it contains gore, language and partial nudity. Oh, the horror! Secondly, if you’re willing to proceed, keep in mind that the footage is from a game that is, according to Skobbejak Games, still in its pre-Alpha stage. It looks really good being so early in development.
Otherwise, be sure to give the team an up vote on Steam Greenlight if you like what you see. Show your support to our fellow South African developers!
