Make A Glitchy Game For Glitch Jam
Glitch Jam is a game jam being hosted by Game Jolt in which participants are asked to make a game that uses glitches as an “integral part” of the game’s design. The theme has to be focused on in terms of either a glitch-like influence in the gameplay design of the game or that the game itself must embrace a glitch-inspired aesthetic.
Developers can participate in Glitch Jam by submitting their game, via an upload, to Game Jolt and by using the hashtag #GlitchJam in the description for their game. By doing so, you will have an entry in the game jam. This is a great opportunity for developers to show off their potential and make games which turn even the most irritating glitches we’ve come across in games, into worthwhile game mechanics that are worth a second glance.

Participants can get some ideas from this resources page which is a great tool for finding inspiration and generating a good game premise that could make a worthwhile prototype at the end of the day. Glitch Jam starts on 3 June and will conclude on 30 June, with the 30th being the last day that entries will be accepted for the game jam. Community voting for Glitch Jam will last about one week.
