E3 2014: Mario Maker Lets You Create Custom Mario Stages
Nintendo has officially announced Mario Maker, a new project for the Wii U that allows fans to create their own custom Mario stages. This was previously just a rumoured leak, but now it’s been given life by Nintendo at their surprisingly good E3 2014 press conference.
The Wii U touchscreen can be used to place blocks, enemies, coins and power-ups, with players being able to change stages on the go, and strive to create works of art or abominations.

Players will also be able to switch the game’s graphical style between the original classic NES Super Mario Bros and the modern New Super Mario Bros U.
Mario Maker will also have unique power-ups, such as a Skinny Super Mushroom, which turns Mario into a skinny basketball player basically.
