Visuals That Will Blow Your Mind In MIND: Path To Thalamus
Many times people assume that only AAA games can have stellar visuals, but indie games can deliver the goods too. MIND: Path To Thalamus is one of those games. Developer Carlos Coronado is behind this visual marvel and has just recently started running a Steam Greenlight campaign for the game.
Visually the game is very much reminiscent of the highly popular indie game Esther. But MIND: Path To Thalamus hopes to diverge from this comparison. The game is a first-person puzzler set in a fantastic and surreal environment for you to explore. The game will allow you to bend natural elements to your very own will, in order to make progression through the emotive and mindbending tale of MIND. The game is a spiritual successor to Coronado’s previous unreleased project called “COMA”. “COMA” in its own regard was highly rated and the hope is that MIND: Path To Thalamus will be able to make the same impression.

Specifically, the gameplay will focus on changing the weather in order to solve puzzles. The player will cycle through night and day, be able to modify levels of fog and rain, with the ability to travel between times in seasons. Everything that happens in the game will be directly related to the protagonist, and he is “a man who is trapped in his own mind”. The protagonist’s goal is to escape to reality. Coronado promises that MIND: Path To Thalamus will be an emotional journey, where the player will experience different emotional states throughout the journey. The game will hopefully be released later this year.
