Half-Life 2’s City 17 Gets An Update In Unreal Engine
It might not be news from Valve but when do we ever get news from valve on Half-Life?
Instead, this is the tale of one intrepid fan who can and did recreate Half-Life 2’s infamous City 17 like you’ve never seen it before. The project is being created by Polycount forum user Logithx who is remodeling the entire city in Unreal Engine.

“Was working on this City 17 environment in UDK, still tons of stuff to do like creating all the exterior stuff, train interiors and some smaller models (monitors and props) but then Epic released UE4 in all its glory,” wrote Logithx.
“I’ll probably quit this project in UDK and convert it all to the Unreal Engine 4. It’s gonna take a while though. Please note that there’s lots of placeholder models/textures/lighting and general derpyness in these pics. Can’t wait to get going with UE4.”
Basically, this looks good but in time it will look absolutely insane. How strong is your Half-Life 3 yearning right about now?
