CD Projekt Addresses Witcher 3 Resolution Worries
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will run at 720p on PS4 and 360p on Xbox One. That’s a confirmed fact but the game’s developer, CD Projekt Red, has a very good explanation.
Actually, they don’t but that’s only because I made it all up.

The real story here is that rumour have been flying around that while the PC version of the Witcher 3 will be a pristine piece of art, the PS4 and Xbox One versions will be slightly less glorious at resolutions of 900p and 720p respectively with both versions locked at 30fps.
The framerate is really no surprise as most developers seem to be opting for lower framerate in exchange for a higher resolution.
The rumours come courtesy of a Russian gaming website which also claims that the PC version will stretch your PC to its limits.
The report also claimed that a single GTX 780Ti struggles to run it for PC. The site goes on to say that the “PC version runs currently with all its bells and whistles enabled (plus 8xMSAA) with 35-45fps on a GTX 780Ti at 1080p.”
GameSpot reached out to CD Porjekt for a comment on the rumours.
“It’s just a rumor and we are not commenting [on] rumors,” CD Projekt Red’s PR & Marketing representative Michael Platkow-Gilewski said. “As soon as we will be ready to announce Spec we will let you know.”
How afraid are you right now of what The Witcher 3 will do to your PC? It’s a good thing you have until next year to upgrade and armour plate it.
