The Two Biggest Names Behind Uncharted PS4 Have Now Left
Things really aren’t looking too good over at Uncharted developer Naughty Dog. Hot on the heels of the departure of Amy Hennig, the writer behind Uncharted, comes news of the departure of the game’s Director, with Justin Richmond announcing leave.
Richmond confirmed yesterday that he would be leaving Naughty Dog, where he has worked at since 2008. Richmond oversaw Uncharted 2’s Multiplayer, then moving on to direct Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Suffice to say, it’s a profound lose to the project.

Richmond had this to say about his departure.
“I have in fact made the decision to leave Naughty Dog. I love the company and the people and know that they will continue to create awesome games going forward. On a happier note, after careful consideration and exploration I have joined Riot Games. There is some really innovative stuff going on here that I can’t wait to be a part of.”
It should be noted that Sony made a big deal about the involvement of Hennig and Richmond when Uncharted 4 was first announced, both of whom have now left the project. There’s also the case of the rumour that Hennig was pushed out of the studio by the series creators, although they have denied any involvement in her departure.
This just forms part of a terrible month that Sony has been having, with hundreds of layoffs across many of its first-party developers and studios.
