What Do You Think Is Facebook’s Next Target?
I’ll be completely honest, I don’t particularly mind that Facebook purchased the Oculus Rift.
Conspiracy theorists would have you believe all sorts of things including that you’re going to get notification popups while playing and, hilariously, some of those will be Farmville requests. Perhaps a little more alarming is the theory that Facebook is going to watch you play your games… for what purpose exactly, gamers? And do you mean in a way that isn’t exactly like the NSA was accused of doing already?

Regardless, whatever the reasons for the acquisition of Oculus Rift are, the guy in charge of the virtual reality device that has been called an experience like no other by the likes of Cliffy B and me just now, has said that he will not abide any sort of controlling measures put into place by Facebook, with mister Zuckerberg going on to state that the purchase was in the interest of creating partnerships, not merging the social network.
But all of that is irrelevant now. (Sorry.) What I’d like to know from you is what you think Facebook is gunning next. Well?
I think they’re going to put in a bid for a pharmaceutical company; that way you can have your medical records linked to your Facebook profile at the click of a bu–HACKED.
