PS2 And PS One Support Coming To PS4
It’s something that’s been on our minds since the very beginning – when are we getting PS One and PS2 classics on PS4? Well, it’s more a case of if we get that support then when will we get it. Unfortunately, we still don’t know but an industry insider seems to know.
Tipster Ahsan Rasheed has a good track record of leaking accurate information and the idea of PS2 and PS One support for the PS4 far from unfathomable. As always, this is a rumour until Sony says something.

Rasheed took to Twitter to reveal his insights, no doubt obtained from stalking Sony execs from the shadows at GDC.
The support of old classics was always rather expected but 1080p rendering is something I’d be interested to see. It could all be part of Sony’s PlayStation Now streaming initiative.
Next up he revealed some information about Sony’s approach with the Morpheus VR headset. They’re going into it with much the same stance as PS4 and DualShock 4 whereby they want a lot of developer feedback to make it good for players and good for developers.
What are your thoughts on all of this? I’d love to jam some PS One games on my PS4. That kind of has me more excited than I am for a lot of the games releasing this year.
