Pre-Ordered Titanfall Through Origin? Your Order Might Still Stand
Last Friday was about as a sad a day as you can possibly get, especially if you were one of thousands eagerly awaiting the release of Titanfall this week. EA decided to scrap the launch locally, probably due to some things that were said to our local distributors, but this morning I received some rather interesting news.
One SA gamer who pre-ordered the game through Origin, the same one who received an email from EA to say his order was cancelled, woke up this morning to find Titanfall in his Origin library, with the pre-load apparently going up tonight.

This would be in-line with what we’d expect if the title was still set to release locally. Jan Botha, the same person who tipped us off the Titanfall’s cancellation last week, sent me this photo this morning, saying that he would update me this evening if his pre-load begins.

Now I don’t know if this is just something Origin does, or whether his order in particular hasn’t been processed as cancelled yet. But what I do know is that Jan received an email about his order being cancelled, yet the game has popped up in his library. His account will only be charged once the game releases, so hopefully that will happen come Friday. The question is whether everyone else who pre-ordered through Origin locally can still play this week?
So if you happened to pre-order Titanfall through EA’s digital store front, let us know if the game is in your library this morning. There may still be hope for some of us.
