Nvidia Reveal A Graphics Card You’ll Never Be Able To Afford
Nvidia love making fun of the rich it seems. First came the Titan, a graphics card first marketed to gamers until it was insanely undercut price wise by AMD…and then Nvidia by themselves with the GTX 780 Ti. The hardware manufacturer announced the Titan Black, a card not aimed at gamers due to it’s insanely inflated price tag, but one that you’d definitely want in your rig.
But now it seems like they’ve just lost the plot a little bit, after the company announced the GTX Titan Z, a card that will cost in the region of $3000.

Nvidia took the stage at the GPU Technology Conference to announce the new card, which is aimed at pushing 5K resolutions. Because hey, the world is apparently to slow to keep up with Nvidia at this stage. The dual-GPU card features two GK110 chips, running on 5,760 cores and an insanely massive 12GB of buffer storage. That surpasses what most people have in terms of RAM in their machines, which is mind blowing to say the least.
The company refused to announce a release date or price, but technical guru’s around the world are all suggesting that the card will probably not retail for anything less than $3000, making it the elite of the elite in terms of PC gaming hardware. This is aimed at that top 0.01% of gamers out there.
To be fair, Nvidia aren’t exactly saying this card is meant for gaming, with the GPU being marketed towards running high-end applications that require all this rendering power. But they’re not saying you can’t use it to finally run Crysis on insane settings either.
