We May Have Lost A Sci-Fi Title From The Creators Of God Of War
Sony Santa Monica recently underwent some downsizing after just previously moving to a bigger premises. Ouch. The big news, aside from all the people who would lose their jobs was the rumour of an unannounced title being canceled as a result.
Rumours are like cancers; persistent.

This rumour won’t go away and seems to have metastasised.
Now, NeoGAF user Shinobi602 said of the game, “Sad to hear Santa Monica’s new IP is canned. It sounded pretty darn good from what I was told. RIP, we hardly knew ye. New IP was really unique, sci-fi…legitimately saddened at the news. Sorry to everyone involved, damn. What’s worse is that it was set to be unveiled at E3. Something massive must have happened.”
Curiously, credibility is lent to the rumour by the fact that Battlestar Galactica writer Michael Angeli was penning a new game for the studio.
Is God of War in space something you would have liked to see? Perhaps the studio was working on something altogether different.
