Magnetic By Nature, A Platformer With A Magnetic Personality
Magnetic By Nature is a platformer without platforms. The game is a fast-paced singleplayer experience, with fluid mechanics, where split-second decisions are essential. It has a stylised visual aesthetic and tells the tale of the last remaining robot making a journey through forgotten ruins to reactivate his friends. In turn, the game is a Kickstarter success and the developers, Tripleslash Studios based out of Salt Lake City, Utah, are now seeking Steam Greenlight support.
As stated above, the game plays without any platforms whatsoever, so moving about is a real pain. This is remedied somewhat by the placement of magnets all over the stages throughout Magnetic By Nature. As the robot, you use the magnets to propel yourself across various obstacles, in more than 120 levels. If you beat the game, you will unlock a special “hell zone” level where you are tested to the extreme. This is a mode especially for speedrunners and those who thoroughly enjoy pain.
