Kojima Is Interested In Dabbling With Silent Hill
Hideo Kojima is crazy. That may be more fact than conjecture at this juncture but that’s besides the point. He’s still an immensely talented man and though he’s only known for Metal Gear Solid in recent years, his mind may be perfectly suited to the horror genre.
The question that nobody is really asking right now is where does Hideo Kojima go to after Metal Gear Solid V?

During a twitch Q&A someone actually did ask him the question and he said he’d be interested in a mobile game or even dabbling in the Silent Hill series.
Asked what franchise he would like to direct or reboot if he had the chance, Kojima said he’d like to take a stab at the supernatural horror Silent Hill franchise. “Hopefully sometime in the future I am able to work on this,” Kojima said through a translator.
Also during the Q&A, Kojima was asked if he would some day like to make a mobile game. He said indeed he would, and is interested specifically in making a “very practical free-to-play adventure game” that is “quite deep.” However, it doesn’t sound like it’s going to happen anytime soon.
“I have no idea when I’ll be able to do this, but maybe some day in the future,” he said.
2010’s Silent Hill Downpour was a good game, perhaps the highest the series has been since it’s PS2 days but it still failed to live up to those standards.
What would you like to see Kojima tackle next? Perhaps he could breathe fresh life into Silent Hill.
