Dragon Age: Inquisition Makes Corpses Look Pretty
The Walking Dead manages to take normal, sometimes even attractive people and make them look utterly repulsive with a healthy layer of makeup. Dragon Age: Inquisition on the other hand makes reanimated corpses look pretty.
It also makes better looking dragons than Game of Thrones. Good Lord, just look at how pretty it is!

The beauty comes courtesy of EA’s Swiss Army knife of an engine, Frostbite 3.
However, the splendour comes courtesy of BioWare using the engine properly and making the world of Inquisition not look like a sepia photograph where all the colour has been drained.
I think Second Son set a good example. If you’re going to make a game with pretty visuals, give it a colour palette that’s eye-catching and a visual style that attracts.
Of course, grizzled and realistic military shooters can’t do this but the rest have no excuse. I’m looking at you, Rivals.
