Facebook Has No Plans To Redesign Oculus Rift
A lot of people still seem to be of the opinion that Facebook will taint everything it touches. Just as it did with Whatsapp and Instagram, right? Well, the CEO of Oculus VR has already said that he won’t stand for any Facebook interference and Facebook itself has come out saying it has no plans to tinker with the Oculus Rift.
A Facebook spokesperson has denied yesterday’s New York Times report that claimed the social networking company was planning to redesign the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset to feature the Facebook interface and logo. Facebook has “no plans” to rebrand the device, the spokesperson told re/code.

So I guess there’s nothing to make a fuss about. It’s a simple business acquisition and while Oculus started as a Kickstarter project isn’t this what backers should want? They helped fund something and now it’s successful enough that it’s been bought up to provide the funding required to make it better and more affordable.
I think what’s happening here is that people are letting their hatred for Facebook and Zuckerberg taint everything else.
