Behold The World’s First Wooden PS4
If you’ve ever looked at your already-sexy PS4 and fantasised about turning it into a wooden block of glory, then German manufacturer Balolo has the right kind of deal for you.
I sure sounded like an advertiser there. Anyway, the company is offering a genuine wooden cover that aims to make your console look rather stylish, if you’re one of those who is strongly into earthy colours and believe you’re all classy.

Before you ask, it’s not just a skin or set of decals, but a series of laser-cut 7mm thick panels that made of actual wood. So, you will have a woody PS4.
You have the option of choosing two different types for the lower body and the upper part of the console, and your range of selections include cherry, bamboo, walnut and zebra. Depending on how funky or classy you are of course. You’re also able to get a custom engraving, but the idea is that each piece will be a one-of-a-kind console depending on your preferences.
Of course the catch is that it’s expensive, since it’s not your usual decal touch-up. It costs around €149.90, which is more or less $208 by itself. That means you’ll be spending over two grand in South African Rands for the skin job. However, if you want it pre-applied to a PS4 console, rather than your existing one, it will set you back €599.90, or $832, which in Rands is OVER 9000!
I couldn’t resist that. Shipping worldwide is included in the cost.
