Xbox Executive Reminds Us That The Internet Is Full Of Lies
As if we didn’t know that already, right? Regardless, an executive from Microsoft’s Xbox division has felt the need to come out and publically discredit some of the rumours posted by one source on NeoGAF last week.
Chief of Staff for Devices and Studios Group at Microsoft Aaron Greenberg took to Twitter during the weekend when he was personally asked about the rumour that Microsoft will drop the price of an Xbox One to $399. In response, Greenberg simply stated,
- You’ll Be Able To Play (Expensive) PS2 Games On Your PS4 Now | 2 months ago
- Jessica Jones Disempowers Its Male Characters And The Effect Is Refreshing | 2 months ago
- Hell Is 30 000 Deathclaws Tearing Through Boston And It’s Glorious | 2 months ago
- Sony Santa Monica Is Teasing Something Truly Strange | 2 months ago
“No, you cannot believe everything you read on the internet.”
Doesn’t mean we can’t believe this surely. I mean, Microsoft is either really pissed or really worried about the guy leaking all of these details to the public, as they have launched a full blown search for him and threaten to take legal action. I’m not too sure what legal action you can take against someone who is just forming baseless lies, so I’m convinced there are more than a few truths lying beneath the surface here.
We just probably won’t know for sure for quite some time unfortunately. Although, a price cut does make sense, it’s just a matter of whether Microsoft is willing to make more of a loss on their console in order to make it more attractive to buyers.
Because right now, it’s pretty darn expensive. And it’s going to be even worse when it releases locally.
