Watch Dogs Gets A Release Date
This morning we reported on how the Watch Dogs trademark was fraudulently abandoned and while Ubisoft works to get it back, someone else is spreading rumours about a potential release date.
Originally slated to be a launch title for the PS4 and Xbox One, Watch Dogs was pushed back into Ubisoft’s next fiscal year (which starts in April 2014) with the partial reasoning being that the game simply needed more time. This seems perfectly plausible given that Ubisoft seemed to have a similarly unrealistic release date in mind for The Division which has now been delayed till 2015.

Anyway, Portuguese retailer Fnac seems pretty certain that Watch Dogs will launch on April 30. Often, when retailers have these sort of postings so close to a game’s release window they turn out to be true. The only problem is that April 30 makes no sense.
New games release on Tuesdays or Fridays but April 30 is a Wednesday. Perhaps it makes no sense therefore it has to be true?
Make of it what you will.
