Tony Hawk Is Indeed Making a Comeback…On Mobile
Earlier this week there was a tumour swimming about that suggested a new Tony Hawk title was in the works. Following a string of pretty terrible titles after a host of great ones, Tony Hawk disappeared from the gaming scene last generation, so it was exciting to hear of a possible return.
Sadly, most of those hopes have now been dash, as the new Tony Hawk title has been revealed as a Mobile exclusive title.

Speaking to Bloomberg, the professional skater that is a household name spoke about the new title, saying that it will be coming to tablets and smartphones later this year courtesy of Activision.
“We’re working on a mobile game now. We’re working on a game for mobile devices this year. We’ve never gone exclusively in that direction yet so I’m excited because, with the amount of time people are spending on their phones and their tablets playing games, we’ve never had our own game in that space so I’m excited to provide one finally.”
Clearly, this is a pure business decision on Tony’s part. As much as we hate to admit it, the mobile market is absolutely massive, and generates a obscene amount of money daily. It makes sense to want to market a game for mobile, but that doesn’t make the news any less disappointing.
Because be honest, you’d love to have another title that captures skating like Underground and American Wasteland did. I know I’d love that.
