Titanfall Delayed…For Xbox 360
Titanfall is easily the most anticipated game for the first half of this year, and Microsoft certainly has a lot riding on the title in the hopes that it will sell more Xbox One consoles. It seems like they’re so desperate to get people to buy the title on their new console, that they’ve gone and delayed the Xbox 360 version.
Well, maybe. EA has announced a two week delay for Titanfall on the Xbox 360, with the first-person multiplayer mech shooter now only arriving on March 25th for North America, and March 28th for Europe. These delays apparently has no impact on the PC and Xbox One versions of the game.

Why you ask? Well because Respawn isn’t working on the Xbox 360 version, Bluepoint Games. The development house is famous for working on other studio’s games, creating HD port after HD port. They’ve now been tasked with bringing over Titanfall to Microsoft’s older console, and it seems like they need a little more time to polish things up.
EA Studios executive vice president Patrick Söderlund had this to say about the whole delay.
“In these last few weeks before launch, Respawn is in the final stages of polishing the Xbox One and PC versions of the game. Bluepoint is doing the same with the Xbox 360 version. To give them the time they need to put the finishing touches on the current-gen version of the game, we are moving the Xbox 360 ship date to March 25 in North America and March 28 in Europe. The extra two weeks will ensure the full world of Xbox gamers has an awesome experience.”
Or, the extra two weeks will drive fans insane and maybe make them buy an Xbox One impulsively. Not a problem for us locally, considering we don’t have the console yet. At least PC gamers won’t have to wait a day more, otherwise that would be a whole other can of worms opened.
Titanfall will release on Xbox One and PC come March 13th. A beta for the game is expected to start soon.
