Logitech G230 Headset Review: The Woman In The Red Dress
I’m going to be honest, I am not an audiophile in the slightest. I blame this on not having access to proper audio equipment in my time on this planet, because I was only able to fund the basics of gaming for most of my gaming career, so GPU’s, keyboards, mice etc. This does not mean I can’t offer some critical appraisal; I can appreciate good sounding headsets compared to bad ones as I, (a) Have ears and…yep, that’s about it.
I am a gamer, not a sound engineer, so I can only offer a gamer’s perspective. Nothing more and nothing less. And with that “Confession of a Reviewer” out on the table, let’s get started, shall we.

The Logitech G230 Stereo Gaming Headset is pegged squarely in the affordable bracket of the gaming market and can be found around the R600 mark in South Africa. It, and the more expensive G430, are completely new products and designs and thus they are not subject to, in my opinion, Logitech’s chuckle inducing “Science Wins” branding. I spent some time using the headset across different scenarios such as gaming, series watching and listening to some of my favourite music tracks. I can comfortably say that these headsets, besides some build sturdiness concerns, are quite good for the price you pay.
