The Left Behind Launch Trailer Prepares You For Tears
Today is Valentine’s Day. Today is also the day the Titanfall Beta kicks off. But, for the most part, that’s not what the majority of gamers are looking forward to today. That honour belongs to a game about a girl that crawled into PS3 gamers hearts everywhere last year.
Today, Naughty Dog release the first and last piece of DLC for their phenomenal title, The Last of Us, starring the little heroine Ellie.

We already know that Left Behind is going to be emotional. This is an Ellie before she met Joel, with the events showing us just how she got bitten in the first place. It also introduces us to Riley, Ellie’s best friend who she occasionally mentioned during the main game. Unsurprisingly, Riley wasn’t in the original adventure, meaning we’re in for a pretty hectic emotional roller-coaster.
And hell if the launch trailer doesn’t prepare you for that, nothing will. Just hearing that familiar guitar style in the background brings all the feels right back, and just makes you even wearier of what’s to come. I’m definitely picking this up today and crawling into a corner to experience it sometime this weekend, and you bet I’ll be on that soundtrack as soon as it hits digital stores.
