The Gorgeous Child Of Light Now Has A Release Date
Despite being a downloadable title, Ubisoft’s Child of Light is certainly one of my most anticipated titles of this year. Revealed last year at GDC Europe. Child of Light quickly caught the attention of the world, and now the game finally has a release date.
Come April 30th, Child of Light will release on most platforms you can think of, including Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, Ps4, PC and even Wii U. The game will cost $14.99.

Child of Light was inspired by Final Fantasy VI, and this features a lot of RPG elements from that era of games. The game was created by a small team at Ubisoft, who all previously worked on the fantastic Far Cry 3. The game also makes use of one of the greatest art engine on the market today, the UbiArt Framework, which has been used for both Rayman Origins and Legends, and is currently being used in Valiant Hearts as well.
A few international media have had the chance to go hands-on with Child of Light and have praised the game’s mechanics and aesthetics. We haven’t been so lucky yet, but trust me when I say this game should be on your radar if it isn’t yet.
Just a pity it isn’t coming to the Vita. Seems like a match made in heaven.
