In other words, which game can you think of made you sick of it long before its time? What was the shortest time you’ve ever played a game for before you just threw up your hands and said “I can’t do it anymore”.
There have been quite a few of those for me. Unless forced to play due to a review, I have to say my record times are pretty scary.
I remember when my fellow writer and friend AG brought Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands over to my house after he finished his review. He got there, I plugged it into my PS3 and started up the game.
He watched as I played it less than ten minutes and said, “Fuck this.” I ejected the disc and gave it back to him.
There would have been many others, but I can’t really count the games I had to play for review. Games like Call of Juarez: The Cartel and Rogue Warrior made me want to break the disc after less than five minutes. But I had to review those.
The most parasitic example I can think of was Assassin’s Creed III. I despised its very existence after the first two hours. But I persevered because I wanted to complete the story. By the end of the eight hour long tutorial, I hated the very air I breathed.
Which games made you sick of them long before it was their time? Long before the credits rolled? And what was the shortest time you’ve spent playing a game before you knew?
