Evolve Is Looking Pretty Darn Interesting
If you haven’t yet heard of Evolve, the new multiplayer shooter from the creators of Left4Dead, here’s a quick summary; four players, different classes, one player controlled monster, lots and lots of evolution.
Confused? Well you should be, because that wasn’t the best summary for this rather impressive looking title, which pits four online players against a single player controlled monster that is able to upgrade and grow as the match progresses. Players will have different classes to choose from, making this a lot more strategic than Left4Dead straight off the bat.

And judging from the new trailer, it looks far more interesting than I originally suspected. It could just be the kickass background song, but this Happy Hunting trailer really made me open my eyes and take notice of Evolve. And reading some of the impressions others have of the title after going hands-on with it, it seems like Evolve could just be the next big thing for shooters.
Only real problem is its availability. Evolve will release only for next-gen consoles and PC, meaning the thousands yet to take the plunge could miss out on one of the most interesting multiplayer shooters of the year as it releases.
Question is, could it start shaping up well enough to convince you to buy a new console. Maybe. Probably.
