Duke Nukem Is Bringing Mass Destruction In 22 Days
Does the world need more Duke Nukem? The simple answer is no. We definitely do not need Gearbox Software to take another stab at this franchise. Although, back when Duke Nukem Forever released there was a theory.
It went something like Gearbox simply released Duke Nukem Forever to prove that they could finally make this game exist after the monumental 12 year wait. The game was utter garbage but mission accomplished. Stage 2 of this theory suggested that Gearbox would then take the franchise and start from scratch with an original Duke Nukem game.

It looks like phase 2 is kicking off according to a teaser site which suggests that Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction will be revealed by Interceptor Entertainment in 22 days for PC and PlayStation. No love for Xbox?
Interestingly the site is currently down for maintenance but not before someone got a screenshot of it.
It’s obviously a Duke game, as the gum packet shown is called The Original Kickass spearmint bubblegum. You know, because like Roddy Piper, Duke was always ready to kick ass and chew bubblegum.
The King makes his next-generation debut in Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction. A top-down action roleplaying game for PC and PlayStation.”
Duke will be kicking ass across various planets in the Unreal-powered game and will be “saving the president from an apocalyptic alien threat.”
Right now, this is a rumour and more than a litte suspect given that the teaser site is down for “maintenance.” It’s a pretty awful hoax if that’s what it is because nobody wants a new Duke Nukem.
