A Wild Rumour Suggest The Last Of Us 2 Is In Development
The Last of Us was without a doubt the best game released last year, and easily one of the best games this generation. We’ve already been told about the first and last piece of story DLC that will release for the game on Valentine’s Day, but could Naughty Dog be working on a sequel?
Website Omelete thinks so, going so far as to say that Naughty Dog have already begun production in the midst of a possible 2015 release.

The article in question was translated by IGN, which speculates that a sequel is already underway for the PlayStation 4. Now, think about this properly doesn’t really make this story any more credible, as most of The Last of Us team members will be working on the story DLC that is set to release soon. The other half of Naughty Dog is already working on Uncharted, so that leaves very little room for there to be development for a sequel set to drop next year already.
Not only that, but I’m not entirely sold on the idea of Naughty Dog revisiting The Last of Us. It was a success commercially and financially, but if anything I would say Naughty Dog will keep it on the backburner for a while before attempting a follow-up. When asked to comment, Sony simply stated that they do not comment on rumour and speculation, as you’d expect.
So take this all with a few grains of salt at the moment. I have no doubt that Naughty Dog has something else in mind apart from Uncharted. I just don’t think it’s this.
