Sony Just Picked Up the Man Previously In Charge Of Star Wars 1313
Probably one of the worst news stories I had to write about last year was the cancellation of Star wars 1313, following the abrupt closure of LucasArts. Then came the news of 1313 being al about everyone’s favourite Bounty Hunter, Boba Fett, which really just rubbed a ocean’s worth of salt into the wound.
We’ll never know what 1313 could have been, but for now at least it’s great to see some of the people who worked on it finding other jobs within the industry. Most notably though is the hiring of 1313’s Creative Director, Dominic Robilliard, who has just snagged himself an office over at Sony.

Robilliard has quite a track record as well, working as a designer on the Getaway franchise with Sony Europe back in the day. His role at Sony is still a mystery as of now, but I wouldn’t be surprised to hear hi m take up a top position at one of the many studios Sony owns, such as Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica and Sony Bend.
Considering how ‘Uncharted-like” Star Wars 1313 looked, it really would make sense to see him take on a role at Naughty Dog, and maybe work on their recently teased Uncharted PS4 project. Or maybe Sony will give Robilliard free reign on an entirely new franchise that he owns the rights to. Who knows at this point?
What we do know is that the man behind on of the most promising next-gen titles now has a job at Sony. That’s a win in my books.
