Say Goodbye To Productivity, Hearthstone Is Now In Open Beta
Following a brief delay of Season 2 and the final card wipe, Blizzard has finally shifted their very first collectible card game, Hearthstone, into open beta. This allows anyone to download the title and begin playing. Yes, no more keys.
Blizzard hasn’t yet launched the open beta in all regions, but those playing on servers in North America, Latin America, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand will all be able to hop in and play. Blizzard has promised that additional regions will follow suit in the next few days, so if you wish to start on a European server you won’t have long to wait.

The open beta for Hearthstone was previously scheduled to begin in December, but a brief delay with the launch of Season 2 and a major patch forced the sate back a bit. Thankfully, this means there will be no future card wipes, so those purchasing and collecting a good number of cards and breathe easy and know that their collection will now stay intact for good.
All you need to download Hearthstone is a Battle.net account and the (still in beta) BAttle.net client, which keeps your entire Blizzard account updated and easy to access. While the beta is open to anyone, Blizzard has stated that account access might be denied if server capacity is reached, however this will only be temporary and you can probably just try a few hours later.
I’ve been playing Hearthstone for a few months now and having been someone who had to give up Magic: The Gathering for various reasons, I can honestly say this is just as addictive. I’m actually fearful for the iOS and Android release dates, which Blizzard have not yet shared.
Have you been playing Hearhtstone? What decks are you currently running? Share in the comments below, and leave you’re username. I could be your Mage fodder.
