The PS4 Has A Pretty Major Save Error Making The Rounds

Although there’s no one really has an idea how it started, the PS4 is currently experiencing a pretty major bug, which is causing some players to have their progress from various games wiped. In some extreme cases, PS4 consoles are even being rendered completely useless.
Users experiencing the problem have identified as Error CE-34878-0, and it seems to be indiscriminate of what games it affects. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Call of Duty: Ghosts, hell any game in the PS4 library really. Users have complained about losing up to 30 hours of gameplay in some cases. Other have gone so far as to call their consoles useless after the bug prevented them from opening any apps, including games.

Right now Sony has yet to comment on the entire thing, and since there’s no word on how the bug came into circulation there really is no way of telling how to avoid it. Some users suggested deleting files from apps that were affected, although this seems to have had limited success.
Thankfully this sounds like something that could be easily repaired with a software update. For now, you’ll just have to wait.
