PS Vita Slim Confirmed And Dated For UK Release
There have been many rumours and whispers around the internet about a PS Vita Slim in the past, and of course it seemed a reasonable thing to happen given how Sony loves to slim down its consoles. And then it did happen in Japan, so it was just a matter of time until it made its way over to the west.
Today, Sony has officially confirmed the PS Vita Slim for the UK, and revealed that it will be released on February 7 for around £180.

This confirmation comes after a leak yesterday in which a retailer outed the release date early.
The PS Vita Slim has been out in Japan since October and aside from its size reduction it also ditches the Vita’s OLED screen in favour of a high definition five inch LCD display, which was a move done to cut its cost.
The PS Vita Slim has a built-in 1GB memory card and, Sony states that its battery life offers an additional one hour of gaming time. Not that much in the grand scheme of things, but when you’re an addict I guess anything extra helps.
Sony also announced the Indie Game Mega Pack, which will be available in two options.
The first bundle features the PS Vita with Alien Breed, Thomas Was Alone, Velocity Ultra, Men’s Room Mayhem, Coconut Dodge Revitalised, Limbo, Hotline Miami, Total Recoil, Superfrog HD and Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims in HD for €199.99.
And the second bundle comes with a 4GB memory card and a PlayStation Store voucher in order to download the above 10 games for €24.99.
