Offline Mode Announced For SimCity
You know the expression a day late and a dollar short? Multiply that by a thousand and you’ll get an idea of how late and inconsequential the addition of an offline mode is for SimCity this long after its release. It’s hilarious.
Like that guy who brought a fire extinguisher to a burnt down house.

EA continually rejected requests from the community for an offline mode stating that the simulation was not an offline affair. Mind you, an offline mode would have spared us all the trouble at launch.
In a new blog post developer Maxis detailted the initiative, “Yes, Offline is coming as a free download with Update 10 to all SimCity players. When we launch it, all of your previously downloaded content will be available to you any time, anywhere, without the need for an internet connection.
“In Update 10, you can still play solo in Regions on your own, or in Multiplayer with people from around the world….Bringing the game Offline means big things for our wonderful community of Modders. They can now make modifications to the game and its components without compromising the integrity of the Online game.”
Update 10 has no release date attached to it but it’s almost definitely too late to redeem the game at all.
