Insider Says The Order: 1886 Is Described As “Sony’s First Naughty Dog Game”
The Order: 1866 is a very interesting PS4 exclusive that is under development by Ready at Dawn. We’ve yet to see actual gameplay, and so far we’ve only been introduced to the game via a cinematic trailer you can see up above.
The newest tidbit of interest comes from Ashan Rasheed, also known as Thuway on twitter and NeoGaf. The insider has always had a good track record with the information he supplies, and according to him on Twitter The Order is being privately described by Sony in a pretty interesting way:
- You’ll Be Able To Play (Expensive) PS2 Games On Your PS4 Now | 2 months ago
- Jessica Jones Disempowers Its Male Characters And The Effect Is Refreshing | 2 months ago
- Hell Is 30 000 Deathclaws Tearing Through Boston And It’s Glorious | 2 months ago
- Sony Santa Monica Is Teasing Something Truly Strange | 2 months ago
The Order is being described privately jokingly as Sony’s first Naughty Dog game. Take that for whatever it means graphically.
Of course, there is the obligatory warning to take what industry “insiders” have to say with a grain of salt, but if this is true then it’s quite clear what it means for The Order. Essentially it’s saying that the game’s visuals and cinematic approach could resemble Naughty Dog’s recent endeavors, but of course we can’t know if that extends to gameplay as well.
The Order is scheduled for release in Q3 of this year. There’s no telling when we will see gameplay yet.
