The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Features Kraven As Your…Mentor?
Since we’re getting a new Amazing Spider-Man film this year, it would be crazy to think that we wouldn’t also get a nice tie-in game to go with it. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 had its first trailer released yesterday, and while it showed off a game that looks like one we’ve played before, it also revealed something particularly interesting.
One of Spider-Man’s greatest enemies, the hunter Kraven, will take on a mentorship role and teach the webslinger to become the ultimate hunter and track down the prey he really wants to find. This should come as a surprise to fans of the comics and previous games, where Kraven was also painted as a mad yet cunning hunter that pictured Spider-Man as the ultimate prize. How Kraven’s mentorship translates into gameplay is yet to be seen, but already we have a glimpse at how the game will differ, and add, to the film it is based on.

Aside from that, there really isn’t much else on show here. Everything looks exactly like the first title a few years back, with the extremely up-close camera view when swinging to the web-based combat. We also get a little glimpse of Electro near the end, although he looks extremely different to Jamie Foxx’s version in the film, and not for the better.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will probably release on every console out there on May 2nd this year.
