God Of War Director Joins Crytek
God of War is all about killing everything, Ryse: Son of Rome is all about killing other people. Of course, putting the two together would then seem natural. Not really, not at all. Regardless, God of War: Ascension game director Todd Papy has joined Ryse developer Crytek to no doubt bring some of his Spartan expertise.
According to his Twitter account, Papy is now serving as game director at Crytek on an unannounced project.

Papy worked at Sony Santa Monica since 2006 when he joined as a senior designer before working as game director on God of War 3 and God of War: Ascension.
Last month Papy announced that he had left Sony for a new challenge. “I haven’t quit games, he said at the time. “We decided to move to Germany. We want to experience a different culture & all the wonderful things that Europe has to offer.”
God of War 3 was an incredibly epic and grand action experience whilst Ascension felt a bit flat by God of War standards. Regardless, Papy should bring some experience to Crytek. Is this the foreshadowing of a Ryse sequel or is it something else?
