The Future Is Here, As Amazon Is Planning To Use Unmanned Drones For Deliveries Very Soon
Seriously, this isn’t a joke. One of the world’s biggest online retailers has revealed a new plan, which has already been tested, to allow the delivery of packages using an unmanned drone to customers in 30 minutes or less after the order was placed. 30 minutes.
The technology is apparently all sound and in place for use, and Amazon is only waiting for FAA approval to make this the new delivery option in the United States. As you can see in the test video above, unmanned drones are programmed with the location of the delivery and given a (small) package in a little yellow box. The drone takes off and lands on the doorstep of the recipient. Easy as that it seems.

Obviously this will probably be the premium delivery method on offer on Amazon, and I’m pretty sure certain restrictions will be put in place in terms of what can be delivered. But seriously, just how cool does this sound? And how long will it be until this becomes the new form of courier services?
Imagine being able to wake up, order a game online, have some breakfast and have your new game delivered shortly after. I want it, I want it now.
