A Closer Look At Two Of The Real Stars In Titanfall
Titanfall is still my most anticipated next-generation title, and while it’s still a few months off the two trailers revealed at the VGX Awards did little to contain my excitement. Although there wasn’t much in terms of gameplay, Respawn has finally fleshed out the real stars of the game.
The Titans. Namely the Ogre and Strider.

Both of these mechs will be deployable on the battlefield, each with it’s own pros and cons. The Ogre, for example, is much more beefy and heavy, making it slower but also far more durable in battle. It also comes with some insanely cool close-quarters moves, which make it ideal for those willing to push the frontlines.
The Stryder, on the other hand, survives on mobility. This is probably going to be the fastest and most manoeuvrable Titan in the game, with an unlimited dash ability and quick aim rotation allowing you to go toe to toe with pesky jetpack hopping soldiers. The drawback, as you’d expect, comes in the form of less armour and health, which means that a well co-ordinated ambush will probably spell curtains for the Strider very quickly.
There’s still more Respawn has to show off before the March release of this game changing shooter, and I for one can’t wait to see what’s in store next.
